Careers

The first hires will shape what this becomes.

The firm was licensed in Dubai in August 2026. As of today the team is the founder. That is not a detail we would rather you discovered later — it is the job on offer. Whoever takes the first of these roles would be the second person in the firm, and the way it works in five years is a set of decisions nobody has made yet. Three staff roles are open, alongside three non-executive seats.

Why now

No layer between you and the capital

You will sit in the room with the people whose money it is, from your first month. In a larger firm that access usually comes much later, and by then somebody else is talking.

The whole arc, not one slice of it

Origination through diligence, structuring, regulatory coordination and then governance for as long as the asset is held. Few people at your stage have followed a cross-border deal all the way through. You would.

Attribution, not anonymity

Internal work product records who produced it, and we will confirm your role and your responsibilities to a future employer. Client information and client materials stay with the client — that does not change when you leave.

Investment Associate

The first hire. You would own diligence workstreams end to end and write the documents the client's investment committee actually reads.

What you would do

  • Run commercial diligence workstreams and reconcile every adviser's findings into one view
  • Build the model, and defend it when it is challenged
  • Hold counsel, tax and technical advisers to one timetable
  • Draft the diligence report and the red-flag register
  • Travel to the asset — this is not a desk job

What we look for

  • Two to five years in investment banking, private equity, transaction services or strategy consulting
  • Evidence you can own a workstream without being managed
  • Writing that a principal would read without rewriting
  • Arabic or Mandarin — an advantage, not a requirement
  • Willing to travel at short notice

What you would get

  • Direct reporting to the founder, with nobody in between
  • Attribution on your own work
  • A say in how the firm is built, because it is not built yet
  • Compensation is benchmarked to the Dubai market for the role and put on the table at the first conversation, before either of us spends more time.

Research Associate — Markets & Geopolitics

Every mandate we take turns on a reading of political and regulatory direction as much as on commercial merit. This role owns that reading, and defends it in the room.

What you would do

  • Build and maintain the country and sector risk framework the firm screens against
  • Track policy, sanctions and foreign investment screening developments across the markets we cover
  • Write the political and regulatory sections of diligence reports — every claim sourced and dated
  • Brief the founder before each site visit and each negotiation
  • Maintain the bench of country and policy specialists we draw on per mandate

What we look for

  • Three to seven years in political risk, policy research, government, or a research desk at a bank or consultancy
  • A two-page brief a principal can act on, not a twenty-page survey
  • Primary-source discipline — dated, attributed, and separated from your own inference
  • The judgement to say where the evidence runs out
  • Arabic, Mandarin or another language of a market we cover

What you would get

  • Your analysis reaches the decision-maker unedited
  • Travel to the markets you cover, rather than reading about them
  • A standing say in which mandates we decline
  • Compensation is benchmarked to the Dubai market for the role and put on the table at the first conversation, before either of us spends more time.

12 months, then a decision
One analyst a year

Analyst Programme

Twelve months, one analyst, one mentor — the founder. At month twelve there is a conversation and a decision in both directions, and no ambiguity about which way it went.

What you would do

  • Research markets and sectors, and help build the screening database this firm will run on
  • Draft sections of diligence reports under review
  • Track developments across the screening regimes we work with
  • Sit in on client meetings from month one

What we look for

  • Recent graduate, or up to two years' experience
  • Evidence that you can write — a dissertation, an essay, anything you were not told to produce
  • Curiosity about how capital actually crosses a border
  • A finance degree is not required

What you would get

  • Twelve months of apprenticeship to one person rather than rotation between forty
  • A written summary of the work you covered
  • A paid, salaried position; the start date is agreed with the successful candidate

Senior Adviser

For people at the end of a long career in a market, a sector, or policy and geopolitics, who would rather stay in the argument than leave it. Not a title on a masthead: a named seat, engaged on real mandates, expected to disagree with the recommendation before the client sees it.

What you would do

  • Be engaged on mandates in your own market or sector, deal by deal
  • Challenge the recommendation before it reaches the client
  • Open doors you can honestly open, and say plainly when you cannot

What we look for

  • Fifteen years or more in one of our markets or sectors, or in the policy and geopolitical questions that govern them
  • A record we can point to publicly
  • Willingness to be named in front of a client

What you would get

  • Engagement deal by deal, with no exclusivity, no fixed hours and no obligation to take a mandate
  • Public attribution on the mandates you are engaged on, with your written agreement
  • Engaged and paid per mandate; the basis is agreed in writing before the first one

Honestly

This is not for you if —

You want a recognisable name on your CV. Ours is new, and will be for some years.

You need a large peer cohort and a defined promotion track. Neither exists here yet, and we would rather say so now.

You would find it uncomfortable to tell a client, in the room, that their deal is a bad one. That is a substantial part of the job, and it is the point.

How we hire

Four stages, about six weeks.

We aim to complete the process within six weeks and to update candidates after each stage.

01

Written application

A CV, and one page on a cross-border transaction you believe was mispriced and why. A cover letter is not required.

02

A conversation

Forty-five minutes with the founder, about the page you wrote. No case study, no brainteasers, no competency framework.

03

Paid exercise

A paid, time-boxed exercise using public, synthetic or appropriately anonymised information — never client deliverables. Paid at an agreed rate whether or not we proceed.

04

Decision

Final-stage decisions are normally communicated within ten business days, with concise role-related feedback where practicable.

Apply

One email, two attachments, no form.

Send your CV and your one page. Name the role in the subject line. Applications are read by the founder.
